DogeDrop
A self-custodial Dogecoin wallet for IRC, social platforms, and the open web
Before you begin
Your wallet. Your keys. Your responsibility.
DogeDrop is a self-custodial wallet. Your private keys and recovery phrase belong exclusively to you. They are generated and stored locally in your browser, never on our servers.
Truly self-custodial
We cannot access your wallet, view your recovery phrase, recover your password, or authorize transactions on your behalf. Your keys remain under your control.
Back up your recovery phrase
Your 12-word recovery phrase is the only reliable way to restore your wallet. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe, preferably offline. Never share it with anyone or enter it on an untrusted website.
If you lose your recovery phrase and access to your wallet, nobody can recover your funds. Not even us.
Browser storage is not permanent
Your encrypted wallet is stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing website data, using private browsing, changing devices, or browser storage cleanup may permanently remove the local copy.
Your Dogecoin remains on the blockchain, but without your recovery phrase you may lose access to it.
MetalDoge is experimental
DogeDrop supports Dogecoin and DogecoinVM, part of the emerging MetalDoge ecosystem. DogecoinVM technology is still experimental and should be considered alpha software.
Features, infrastructure, and network behavior may change. Use small amounts and understand the risks before experimenting.
Open technology
This wallet is based on the open-source DogeDrop, originally developed by Paulo Vidal, and further developed by SimosNap IRC Network.
Our goal is to bring self-custodial Dogecoin payments to the SimosNap IRC Network and Monoverse, our framework for extending IRC channels with social features and web integration. The wallet remains open source and available for anyone who wants to integrate it into their own website or application.
The wallet has not been independently audited. Always exercise caution when using experimental financial software.

Connect shares the address with this page. Every payment still asks first.
Looking for the wallet…
For a website
Paste one line
- 1Add the line before the end of the page.
- 2A wallet button appears for the visitor.
- 3Your site asks. The visitor approves.
The wallet loads from dogedrop.org/wallet, so another site cannot read the keys. This guide is on the same address, and the wallet says so.
Prefer our fork?
You can also integrate the SimosNap fork of DogeDrop into your website. It is based on the original open-source project and developed for the SimosNap IRC Network and Monoverse.
